“I clicked on the progress indicator to try to re-watch a statement I didn't quite understand, and it reset the movie, and when I try to play it again, the movie is black (unless I reload teh whole website).... you should make it easier to navigate through the video. (IE7, vista home premium)”
Flynn Tregay, First Trust Portfolios
“Useful information provided to guide further investigation. Add a link to download the preso.”
Clarence Younger, Business Frameworks LLC
“Very good. A little quick through the prewritten work. I understand prewriting the table structures and base, but I think I would learn more if I watched you type out the actual example in question. In fact all of the base could already be there.”
Greg Carroll, GMS
“Good explanation of some of the new features”
David Cherry, AHA
“Easy to follow, logical presentation. Practical tips provided. Would be helpful to be able to download notes/summary of presentation for future reference/followup. Regarding presentation mechanism: Volume of presenter seemed to fade in/out at beginning. Had trouble backing up presentation to replay a missed point. Player would not restart. Closed player window, reloaded from Innovations page, but then only got audio, no video (black screen). Had to close player & IE 7. Running XP SP2.”
Michael Meredith, (independent consultant)

Ahmad Shajee, FirstRain
“Good educational video. As far as the incorporation of new features goes, many of them are taken from MySQL. I noticed, one thing has changed though, historically MS borrows good features then tries to impersonalize them but this time they did not and I kudos for that. There is nothing wrong in borrowing smart features but wrong is attempting fake them as your own. Some of mysql features I could think off quickly; date, time datatype, utc date, current_timestamp, row construct (as author calls)”
Ashish Kaushal, 4GL Tech
“Very nice job showing the new features. I particularily enjoyed the MERGE,UPDATE and JOIN enhancements. If I could suggest the Presenter use a little more influction in his speaking- it tended to get boring listening to him talk. Other than the Mono-tone speaking the presenting was very good.”
Josh Sumption, Advanced Imaging Solutions
“The audio quality for this presentation was fair. The volume went up and down quite oftern”
Harold Gale, Quakertown Computers, LLC
“. ”
William Johnson, Agile Arch
“A good session but do feel the session could be condensed. An hour is a long sitting”
John O'Sullivan, Attwood Ltd
“The sessopn was a good introduction to the new features I look forward to the rest of the series.”
Scott Skeen, Cardinal Logistics Mgmt Inc
“Great introduction to 2008 t-sql”
Yale Wedig, Virtual Premise
“Good overview. Important to still use T-SQL as much as possible for performance.”
John Duronio, Duronio Consulting
“The course was well-planned and perfectly delivered.”
Venkat Venkataramanan, Self Employed
“I like the course itself, but the technology used to present it (Silverlight in a very small window) was exceptionally bad--code samples were frequently impossible to use and trying to resize the window to increase the magnification caused related windows (Feedback, Take the Quiz) to be scaled so large as to be unusable. The volume fluctuated between almost unintelligible to loud and crisp. ”
Gilbert Marlowe, Team IA, Inc.
“Very good presentation”
Juan Montoya, Zxigma Data
“n/c”
Paul DeFilippo, EGL
“I'm about 15mins into the dialogue and tried to back the timer up to review something I saw. When I do, the app freaks out on me and either tries to restart the entire video, tries to end the video, or completely hangs on me. This seems like a huge problem for someone who is really trying to reiterate through the material as they go.”
Cole Francis, Avanade
“Thanks.”
Matt Rajca, Mateusz Rajca
“Great sessions.”
Michael Engle, Smartronix
“Uhhh... GROUP BY WITH ROLLUP & WITH CUBE have been around since SQL 2000.”
Richard Lee, Spheris
“Good summary of some of the new T-SQL statements”
Jeff Oldiges, Union Institute and University
“I like the new silverlight interface, however the view is rather small. I'm viewing it through the ISV Innovations.com "Get On the Case" game and it's limited to a small section of the screen. The full screen does work, but it would be nice if I could go to full browser instead.”
Leeland Clay, Indigo Data Systems
“If you stop the video, and try to restart it from a particular point, the sound works, but no video.”
Gary Hollis, GRH Consulting
“Excellent”
Bernd Burkhardt, impuls information management
“very knowledgable”
Christopher Manciero, SAP
“Good Start.”
Cathy Soloway, Perotsystems
“This course was great”
Jered Bush, Slalom
