SQL: Moving your MySQL application to Microsoft SQL Server
(22 ratings)
MySQL is a relational database management system that has been available under the GNU General Public License (GPL) since 1998. It gained a lot of popularity during the Internet boom and is still used in a wide range of applications. As an ISV using MySQL, you have an opportunity to cross-platform your application onto Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and you will find this to be a lot easier than you might think. The benefit to do so is huge – a large majority of small and mid-sized business (as well as many large enterprises) have standardized on Microsoft technology. There is no reason to limit your potential customer base. This seminar will detail the benefits and procedures for making your application work on the Microsoft platform and database. . But let’s not forget SQL Express! For those smaller and mid-sized businesses SQL Express is a viable option. In this seminar we will also bring up key points about its use and how it can be effective for those companies on a tight budget.
