Other sessions will deep-dive into the various technological improvements that are introduced here.

This session will give a fairly technical introduction to the new features in Windows Server 2008 that contribute to it being a more solid and manageable platform. Topics include Server Manager, Server Core, failover clustering, PowerShell, WDS and more.

This session will give a fairly technical introduction to how Windows Server 2008 is enhanced to support web applications. Topics include IIS 7.0 and its modular design, new IIS Manager, cross site deployment, health management, and more.

This session will give a fairly technical introduction to the security enhancements contained in Windows Server 2008. Topics include security configuration wizard, Network Access Protection (NAP), Read Only Domain Controller, enhanced Group Policies, Active Directory enhanced services, and more.

This session will give a fairly technical introduction to Windows Server Virtualization and the new Hyper-V role. No additional technical detail on this topic will be covered in this series since a separate training curriculum around virtualization exists.
